Uncovering the Hidden Gems: A Journey Through Guizhou's Minority Tour

Join us on a 22-day adventure through China's famous and hidden spots, ending in the beautiful province of Guizhou which known for its amazing landscapes and rich culture. This journey offers a memorable travel experience especially Guizhou's Minority Tour.



Day 1 Beijing

Arrive in Beijing, our car will pick us up and transfer to our hotel. In the evening we take a tour in Wangfujing Street.

 

Day 2 Beijing

Our first stop is the impressive Tiananmen Square, where most of the national ceremonies are held. From the square, you can walk to the splendid Forbidden City. Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travelers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs. Then we walk to Coal Hill, which is a royal garden in the past where we can enjoy a panoramic view of Forbidden City. Then we drive to Beihai Park, a former imperial Garden. After that, we drive to Shichahai Hutong to visit the traditional residence of Beijing with Rickshaws, which is an old way of transportation. Then we visit Houhai area by walking, which is a part of Shichahai.

 

Day 3 Beijing

Today we first visit the fascinating Badaling Great Wall; we take the cable car up, and walk down. Then we drive to visit Summer Palace. The palace was used as the royal family’s “Palace to avoid the heat” when in summer. Then we drive to Olympic park to see the modern masterpiece – Bird Nest & Water Cube. In the evening, we shall see the Kongfu Show by regular seats.

 

Day 4 Beijing-Xi'an

Today we first visit Temple of Heaven, where ever the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Gods of Heaven. Then we go to Silk Market, in which you’ll find nearly all the things you want to buy. Then we transfer to station for Bullet Train to Xian G87 (1400/1848) by 2nd class seats. Upon arrival, our guide and driver in Xi’an will pick you up and drive to the hotel for rest.

 

Day 5 Xi'an

Today you will be driven to the suburb area to marvel at the powerful Qin Terra Cotta Warriors. Then we drive back to the city and go to visit Shaanxi Historical Museum, known as “the pearl of Xian, the treasury of China”. After the museum, we’ll visit South Gate Old City Wall, which is the most complete city wall that has survived in China, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Then we go to Muslim Quarter. There are about ten mosques in this area, among which the Great Mosque is the most famous and popular.

 

Day 6 Xi’an/Jiuzhaigou

Today we’ll take the flight to Jiuzhaigou. We first drive to visit Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area. The 'World Wonder' and 'Fairy Land on Earth' are names enjoyed by the Huanglong Scenic and Historic Interest Area, which is well known for its colorful lakes, snow clad mountains, valleys and virgin forest. After the tour in Huanglong, we’ll drive to Jiuzhaigou for overnight.

 

Day 7 Jiuzhaigou

Located in the north of Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou County is part of the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. With some of the most beautiful and inspiring scenery on earth and some of the reserves scenic spots considered holy by the local Tibetan and Qiang people, it is no wonder a number of mysterious legends surround the wonderful landscape of Jiuzhaigou. We’ll spend a day in here.

 

Day 8 Jiuzhaigou/Chengdu

In the morning we drive to the A/P and take flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, we drive to Leshan; The Leshan Giant Buddha is a statue of Maitreya in sitting posture. Facing the river, the Buddha has symmetrical posture and looks which have been beautifully captured in its solemn stillness. It is 71 meters (about 233 feet) high, and has 8.3-meter-long (about 27 feet) fingers. The 9-meter-wide (about 30 feet) instep is big enough for one hundred people to sit on and the 24-meter-wide (about 79 feet) shoulder is large enough to be a basketball playground. We will take the cruise and also climb the Buddha. Then we’ll drive to Emeishan for overnight.

 

Day 9 Emeishan-Chengdu

Mt. Emei is located on the south of Leshan. It is towering, beautiful, old and mysterious, like a huge green screen standing in the southwest of the Chengdu Plain. Looking its winding and beautiful figure, you will find that it resembles very much an eyebrow of a girl. It is the highest one among all the famous sight-seeing mountains in China. We’ll take cable car up to Wannian Temple, then walk to visit Monkey Area. Down from the mountain, we will drive back to Chengdu for overnight.

 

Day 10 Chengdu/Guiyang

Today we first visit Panda Base. The giant pandas are not only a Chinese national treasure but are also beloved by people the world over. In the base you’ll meet incredibly lovely pandas and baby pandas. Most people couldn’t resist. Then we drive to visit Wenshu Temple. After the temple, we’ll take a walk among the famous pedestrian street called Jinli Street, where you’ll find all kinds of delicious food and snacks that can make you slobber and forget the tastiness induced coma that fallows. The last site is Wangjiang Park; after that, we will transfer to airport and take flight to Guiyang. Upon arrival, guide and driver will pick us up and drive to our hotel to rest.

 

Day 11 Guiyang

Today we first visit at Long Gong, which is called “the miracle of nature” for its gorgeous Karst views. Next we transfer to Huang Guo Shu including escalator on the way back. The Huangguoshu Waterfall is world famous for its grandeur caused by the Karst Landscape. After that we go to visit the Tian Xing Qiao, a natural bonsai made of water, stones and forests. Then we transfer back to the hotel

 

Day 12 Guiyang-Kaili

Today we drive to Kaili at the southeast of Guizhou Province, which combines the modern society with traditional characteristics of Miao group. En route we will visit some Minority Ethnic villages. First, we visit the Qingyan Ancient Town which can dates back to Ming and Qing Dynasty with martial and economical values. Then we go to Matang and Langde to enjoy the unique history and culture of the miao ethnic groups. Back to Kaili and Overnight.

 

Day 13 Kaili-Guiyang-Guilin

Today we continue our visit from the Qingman village around the Kaili city to see the architecture of miao group and the famous Miao Embroidery. Next we drive to a village of the Dong group, Shiqiao, which is famous for its traditional technique for making colorful papers. Leaving the villages we drive back to Guiyang for bullet train to Guilin. The guide and driver of the Guilin part will pick us up at the train station and drive to Four Lakes Scenic Spot and aboard the boat for a night tour on the lakes.

 

Day 14 Longsheng – Guilin

Today we first drive to visit Reed Flute Cave. Inside this water-eroded cave is a spectacular world of various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. Illuminated by colored lighting, the fantastic spectacle is found in many variations along this 240-meter-long cave. Walking through the serried stone pillars, tourists feast their eyes on changing spots, feeling they are in a paradise where the Gods live. After that we drive to Longsheng and visit the Terrace Fields there, and also visit the Yao and Zhuang Minorities Villages, where we will see the Long Hair Show from local residents. Then we drive back to Guilin and take a walking tour of local markets and pedestrian streets.

 

Day 15 Yangshuo

Today we first take the Li River boat cruise to Yangshuo. Along the trip you will enjoy the attractive scenery on both sides of the bank, and after arrival, you’ll be able to enjoy your stay in Yangshuo. After a rest at hotel, we drive to visit The Big Banyan Tree. It has survived wind and rain over centuries since it was planted nearly 1500 years ago. Then we’ll visit some local villages to see Moon Hill and their life-style. Then we drive back to stroll on the west street in the afternoon. In the evening we drive back to enjoy the beautiful Impression Show, which is performed on Li River. After the show, we will drive back to hotel for rest.

 

Day 16 Guilin/Zhangjiajie

Today we will learn Taichi Lesson at the Yangshuo Park. Taichi is a traditional Chinese exercise that enjoys a long history and is used to strengthen the body. Then we will drive back to Guilin. We first drive to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. It’s an Elephant’s nose shaped rock extending into the river, just like its drinking water from the river. Our next stop in Guilin goes to Fubo Hill, it stands solitarily in the northeast of the city and on west bank of Li River with half of the hill stretching into the river. Waves run back wherever they meet the blocks, hence the name "wave-subduing Hill". Then we will transfer to the A/P for flight to Zhangjiajie. Upon arrival, the guide and driver will pick us up and transfer to hotel in Wulingyuan.

 

Day 17 Zhangjiajie

Drive to the entrance (3-5 mins) and then tourist car (15-20 mins) to take Bailong elevator up to visit Yuanjiajie (about 2 hours) incl the First Bridge under heaven, Vertigo Platform, the Pillar of South Heaven and so on,then shuttle bus (about 30 mins) to visit at Tianzi Mountain incl Helong Park, Yubi Peak, Fairies Spreading Flowers and so on.Down by cable car. Shuttle bus to Golden Whip Stream and take a walking according to the pax wish

Day 18 Zhangjiajie

Visit Baofeng Lake with boat cruise. Drive for 40 mins to visit the Grand Canyon with Glass Bridge for 3-4 hours. The Grand Canyon is a newly open spot next to the Wulingyuan Scenic area. With a magnificent Karst Landscape, you can find not only the great canyon, but also many streams and waterfalls here. It is also famous for the longest glass bridge all over the world.

 

Day 19 Zhangjiajie/Shanghai

Drive to Zhangjiajie national park, visit Yellow Stone Village with cable car up and down( visit for 2.5-3 hours).Then drive to visit Tianmen Mountain (about 4 hours) incl up cable car+ glass plank road + small cable car on the mountain+ elevator at Tianmen Cave + Tourist bus. Transfer to airport and flight to Shanghai.Transfer to the hotel

 

Day 20 Shanghai

Today we first visit Yu Garden including nearby Bazzars. In Yuyuan, you can see the sophisticated design and fine layout of pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters. Then we visit Shanghai Museum, which specializes in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies and paintings. After that, we will take a walking tour of Nanjing Road and The Bund to enjoy the modern view of Shanghai. Then we go to take elevator up to the TV Tower and take an overlook of the Shanghai City. After that we will visit Tianzifang area. Transfer to hotel and rest.

 

Day 21 Zhujiajiao – Shanghai

Today we drive to visit the beautiful Water Town of Zhujiajiao including boat cruise. Then we drive back to Shanghai to visit Jewish Quarter incl the Synagogue and French Concession. In the evening we will be entertained by the Acrobatic show at the theater. Transfer back to our hotel.

 

Day 22 Departure

Free time in the morning. Transfer to airport and take departure flight back home.
